Learn to create three digital portraits that are stylized cartoon characters exclusively made in Lera`s unique style. We will learn how to identify individual features, harmoniously magnify them, while keeping the character`s recognition and identity.

Throughout this course we will create three portraits: Audrey Tautou, Lady Gaga and Neon Light Girl
🍭Begin with a simple portrait where we will work on the main skills needed for drawing a face and learning some basic techniques.
🍭During our second portrait we will create a femme fatale image and interject some personality into it. We will focus on the process of adding texture and additional details.
🍭The third portrait will teach you how to work with lighting and how to effectively create an atmosphere.
🍭Using an iPad and drawing with an Apple Pencil is a particularly useful tool that has an excellent level of pen-pressure sensitivity and pen tilt.
It is simple!
You don`t need to be a professional artist to be able to draw vibrant and memorable characters. We do not make use of a classical approach or complicated structures during our lessons.
Lera demonstrates her own techniques to draw portraits and shares
with you her own secrets to creativity.
I try to work harder on characteristic features in my portraits: I make eyes bigger, eyebrows wider, face more roundish and the neck thinner to make it look as if it is from a cartoon. Meanwhile, I try to save the shape of the eyes, nose, mouth, and cheekbones because it makes a person`s appearance more recognizable.
